Don't Deny the Signs of Burnout

Concealing and denying burnout can lead to two significant problems:

1) Ignoring difficult feelings also means neglecting the happier ones. By suppressing emotions like hope, joy, and excitement, you risk losing touch with positive experiences. This can result in feeling emotionally flat and despondent.

2) Tuning out your body’s signals of exhaustion means you’re disregarding important physical cues. Neglecting your body’s needs leaves you without the support necessary to address your current state of fatigue and distress.
